The CH340N from WinChipHead (WCH) is a compact, full-speed USB to Serial (USB–UART) bridge IC designed for modern embedded systems, portable electronics, and USB communication interfaces. With a built-in 12 MHz crystal oscillator, this SOP-8 device requires no external crystal, drastically reducing BOM cost and PCB space.
The CH340N supports baud rates from 50 bps to 2 Mbps, integrates full-duplex UART communication buffers, and provides modem control signals such as RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, RI, making it compatible with a wide range of MCU and serial peripheral interfaces. Fully compliant with USB 2.0, it is ideal for upgrading traditional UART-based devices to USB connectivity.
