The 6N139 Optocoupler is a high-gain optoelectronic isolation device designed for applications requiring strong electrical isolation and high signal transfer efficiency. Using an integrated high-gain photodetector and LED emitter, it delivers an extremely high Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) up to 2000%, making it suitable for low-input-current and high-performance digital interface designs.
With a low input current requirement of 0.5 mA, high output capability of 60 mA, and an isolation voltage rating of 5000V, the 6N139 offers robust protection between high-voltage and low-voltage sections of a circuit. Its TTL-compatible output stage and separate photodiode/output pins ensure fast switching and low saturation voltage. The device also supports optional photo-Darlington operation via configurable pin connections.
Ideal for signal isolation, digital interfacing, switching circuits, industrial control, and communication systems, the 6N139 provides excellent common-mode rejection (10 kV/µs) and stable CTR performance from 0°C to 70°C.
