Product Description:
The SMAJ5.0CA TVS Diode from Vishay is a high-performance bidirectional transient voltage suppressor designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from damaging voltage spikes caused by lightning, inductive load switching, ESD, and other transient events. Packaged in a compact SMA (DO-214AC) SMD package, this diode offers excellent clamping performance, fast response time, and high surge handling capability.
With a 5V reverse stand-off voltage, a breakdown voltage of up to 7.07V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 9.2V, the SMAJ5.0CA is ideal for protecting low-voltage ICs, MOSFETs, sensors, communication interfaces, and 14V automotive and industrial electronics. Its peak pulse current rating of 43.5A ensures robust protection against high-energy transients.
This Vishay-manufactured device features built-in strain relief, fast response (<1 ps), and excellent temperature stability, making it reliable for demanding applications in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
