The LM317 from STMicroelectronics is a robust adjustable positive voltage regulator designed to deliver up to 1.5Aof load current with an output voltage that can be set anywhere between 1.2V and 37V. Packaged in a compact TO-252 (DPAK) package, it is ideal for surface-mount power regulation applications.
Featuring 0.1% line and load regulation, the LM317 ensures stable and precise output voltage. The device includes built-in current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe operating area (SOA) control, providing reliable protection under fault or overload conditions.
