The ACS712 5A current sensor module is a high-precision Hall effect-based sensor designed for accurate AC and DC current measurement. It provides an analog output proportional to the sensed current, making it ideal for integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino and embedded systems.
This module features a low-noise analog signal path, fast response time of 5µs, and adjustable bandwidth via the FILTER pin for optimized performance. With 2.1kV RMS isolation and stable output offset, it ensures reliable operation in sensitive and high-power applications.
Operating on a 5V supply, the ACS712 offers high accuracy with factory calibration and output sensitivity typically around 185mV/A (for 5A version). It is widely used in power monitoring, battery chargers, overcurrent protection, SMPS systems, and energy measurement applications.
