The HX711 is a precision 24-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) designed specifically for electronic weighing systems and industrial measurement applications. It interfaces directly with load cells or bridge sensors, amplifying extremely small analog signals and converting them into high-resolution digital data for microcontroller processing.
The HX711 integrates an on-chip programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with selectable gains of 32, 64, or 128, making it ideal for millivolt-level load cell outputs. It features two differential input channels (Channel A with gain selection and Channel B with fixed gain), a simple 2-wire serial interface, and selectable 10 SPS or 80 SPS output rates for flexible system design.
This IC ensures stable, low-noise, high-accuracy measurements, making it the industry standard in weight measurement designs. Common applications include digital scales, IoT weighing modules, force sensors, and precision instrumentation.
