The SMBJ188CA TVS Diode is a high-voltage bidirectional transient voltage suppressor designed to protect 188V-powered sensitive electronic equipment from voltage spikes caused by lightning, inductive load switching, ESD, and other transient events. With a reverse stand-off voltage of 188V, a breakdown voltage up to 231V, and a clamping voltage of 328V, this diode ensures robust and reliable surge protection for industrial, power distribution, and high-voltage communication systems.

Housed in a compact SMB (DO-214AA) surface-mount package, the SMBJ188CA features excellent clamping performance, ultra-fast response time (<1 ps), and durable construction with built-in strain relief. It supports high-temperature soldering (260°C for 10 seconds) and provides long-term stability even in demanding environments.

With a peak pulse current of 2A, this diode is ideal for safeguarding MOSFETs, ICs, sensor lines, and high-voltage power interfaces from overvoltage transients.
