The MP1584 is a high-efficiency DC-DC step-down switching regulator IC designed for compact and reliable power conversion. With a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V and adjustable output from 0.8V to 25V, it delivers up to 3A output current, making it suitable for a variety of power management applications.
Featuring current-mode control, fast transient response, and programmable switching frequency up to 1.5MHz, the MP1584 ensures stable and efficient operation across different load conditions. It includes built-in thermal shutdown, internal soft-start, and frequency foldback protection for enhanced reliability and fault tolerance.
Its high switching frequency helps reduce EMI and allows the use of smaller external components, making it ideal for space-constrained designs. Housed in a thermally enhanced SOIC-8E package, it is widely used in automotive systems, industrial power supplies, battery-powered devices, and embedded electronics.
