The BC807-40 is a high-performance PNP silicon bipolar junction transistor (BJT) designed for general-purpose switching and amplification applications. Commonly available from Nexperia and other leading semiconductor manufacturers, it is supplied in a compact SOT-23 surface-mount package.
Featuring a collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of −45V, continuous collector current of −500mA, and a high DC current gain (hFE) of 250 to 600, the BC807-40 is ideal for driving LEDs, relays, small motors, and other medium-current loads. The “-40” suffix indicates the high-gain classification. Complementary NPN transistor: BC817-40.
