The HLF L298N is a high-power dual full H-bridge motor driver IC designed for controlling two DC motors or one stepper motor from a single compact device. Built to handle robust motor loads, the L298N provides separate logic and motor supply rails, making it compatible with popular microcontrollers such as Arduino, STM32, PIC, and Raspberry Pi.
With motor supply support from 4.5V to 36V and up to 2A continuous current per channel (4A peak), this IC is well-suited for demanding motion control applications. The L298N features internal protection diodes for inductive loads, ensuring safe and reliable motor operation.
The IC comes in a Multiwatt15 through-hole power package, which provides excellent thermal dissipation and is widely used in motor driver modules and embedded motor control circuits.
