The LM393 Dual Comparator IC is a pair of independent, precision voltage comparators designed for single-supply or split-supply operation. Packaged in a compact SOIC-8, this device operates over a wide supply range from 2.0V to 36V, making it suitable for consumer, industrial, automotive, and general-purpose electronic applications.
With a typical input offset voltage of just 2mV, low input bias current, and very low supply current of 0.4mA, the LM393 ensures accurate and efficient comparison performance. Its open-collector outputs can sink or source up to 16mA and can be wired together for logic-level operations such as wired-AND configurations.
The LM393 provides a differential input voltage range equal to the supply voltage and supports logic compatibility with DTL, TTL, ECL, CMOS, and MOS logic levels. Input ESD clamps enhance device ruggedness without affecting precision, making it reliable in demanding environments.
