The TXS0104EDR 4-Bit Bidirectional Voltage-Level Translator IC from Texas Instruments is a versatile, non-inverting logic-level translator designed to enable seamless communication between mixed-voltage digital circuits. With dual power-supply rails, the A-port supports 1.65V to 3.6V, while the B-port accepts 2.3V to 5.5V, allowing bidirectional translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V logic levels.
This device eliminates the need for a direction-control signal, making it easy to implement in microcontroller, sensor, and peripheral interfaces. It supports data rates up to 24 Mbps (push-pull) and 2 Mbps (open-drain), enabling reliable high-speed operation. When the OE pin is low, all outputs enter a high-impedance state for safe power-up and power-down sequencing.
The TXS0104EDR includes robust ESD protection and latch-up immunity, ensuring stable operation in demanding electronic environments. It is packaged in a compact SOIC-14, making it suitable for a wide range of PCB designs.
