The ST L298N is a high-power dual full H-bridge motor driver IC designed to control two DC motors or one stepper motor from a single device. It supports a motor supply voltage range from 4.5V to 36V and delivers up to 2A continuous current per channel (4A peak), making it suitable for demanding motor control applications.

The L298N features separate logic and motor supply inputs, allowing easy interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, STM32, PIC, and Raspberry Pi. TTL and CMOS compatible logic inputs ensure seamless integration into embedded systems. Built-in clamp diodes protect against inductive voltage spikes generated by motor loads, enhancing reliability and operational safety.
