The ULN2803APG is a high-voltage, high-current 8-channel Darlington transistor array from Toshiba, designed for driving inductive and high-load devices directly from logic-level signals. It integrates eight NPN Darlington pairs in a single DIP-18 through-hole package, making it an efficient and space-saving solution for multi-channel load driving applications.
Each output channel can handle up to 500mA of continuous current with output voltages up to 50V, making the ULN2803APG suitable for relays, solenoids, stepper motors, LEDs, and other inductive or resistive loads. The IC features built-in freewheeling clamp diodes on every channel, providing essential protection against voltage spikes generated by inductive loads and ensuring long-term reliability.
